I had 5000 A5 flyers/posters printed in full colour delivered to my door for £115. It was done on internet, basically you go through the process of uploading your photos and laying them out with your text included. Email it to their office, they suggest any changes etc, when its all agreed they print and send them out to you direct. Bought these for handing out at shows etc and actually went halves with a friend who does plant-hire, his stuff was printed on other side. They are also used in local shops etc

Just thought you might like my new sign....

 

It cost £50. £5 for the wood and £5 a letter. Hand carved with a chisel which gives a much more rustic look than a router would. It came untreated but I painted it myself so it shows up better. It is just wider than a pallet so is good for leaning against a pallet or bag of logs at the roadside.

It did occur to me that if he prints them himself he can print smaller quantities and tweak the price as he goes along. Especially if the price of oil stays low and we have a mild winter.

I would put softwood and hardwood, not just soft and hard.......... some are a little thick!
