I've only ever seen them on front loaders and handlers. I don't think they will clear the ground enough, the crates will get smashed.

You could maybe tip off the side end with a hinge method. Like the high tip buckets.

Have a linkage mounted frame with the pivot at at the side instead the middle then the attached to that. forks. Then tip sideways. The higher you out the pivot the better the tip clearance but you will need more effort to tip.

Personally I flip the crates with rear forks. It does abuse them a bit, I don't need to do it often.

I can't see that working effectively on the rear linkage, do you have any pictures of it in action?

Much like John, I use a potatoe box rotator. I only use the full steel crates, not the the wooden pallet based versions. Strapping the crate to the rotator will reduce the pressure on the bottom frame area as you turn the crate. I have had the frame section seperate on two occassions as I was not using a strap.

Have a look at agriweld website under products and will see a couple of box rotators. Am sure they will be up to the job but they are for mounting on front loader etc.

I have used one in the distant past that was on the back of a MF135 fastened to the rear fork lift, so they do exist, do fit on a rear mounted fork lift and they do work.

Google "box rotator" and there are pics
