I am in a two year program at a good school and would really like to become an arborist. I would just like to hear from some people in the field and see how they like it and if you are happy with the career choice? Thanks.

Welcome. All the ones I know seem to be happy people. It's not something everyone can do, climbing trees and cutting bits off. I cant. Take my hat off to those who can. Seems to give a high level of satisfaction, best of luck.

Hi and welcome to the forum mate,i came into tree work quite late in my career, many years as a gardener/groundsman.

Climbing is the best job in the world imo, cold dry days in tree saw in hand...top of the world.

Good luck-you"ll get loads of advice on these forums from experienced and knowledgeable people.

Welcome, will get plenty of advice on any subject from people on here.

I like my job and don't mind getting up for work every morning. I'm not an arborist but, technical name, Grounds Maintenance Operative which is just landscape works such as shrub pruning, hedge cutting, grass cutting etc. but it's something different everyday and I get to use a variety of tools!
