Hi Guss, thats a brilliant little set up. Is yours road legal, if so how easy is it to get them old kubotas up to road legal standard.

I wouldn't fancy driving mine on the road it does around 8mph flat out and probably get mistaken for a mobility scooter!:laugh1::laugh1::laugh1:

Anyone got a kubota b7000? Might know where there is one fir sale locally! Apparently I would have to fit hyd take off ports on the back of it to run a log splitter?!

Yep that's the same as the one I've got. We had to add a double spool valve for the snow blade but just tapped into the old hydraulics and put on a diverter valve so can still work the back linkage

Some of the old B series kubotas have a diverter valve just under the front of the seat allowing you to select tractor or external hydraulic services, just connect to this and connect return line to the gearbox/rear axle oil filler.

Some, including my own tractor have not got this valve but have a port with a blanking plug just under the seat that you could connect a supply to.This only pressurises when the rear link arms reach the top limit of their travel- ok for tipping trailers but not ideal for running a log splitter

Also these tractors have ample pressure for a splitter but very little flow so would probably be frustratingly slow in operation.

Better to use a pto powered pump I think.
