pics of a big job today. complete nightmare job on very busy main road. we had 300meters of traffic lights and cones set up. then had me and another guy felling a row of ash coppices. a team of 3 guys and a platform pruneing dead wooding 2 oaks then 1 dead oak to pollard at 3 meters up, covered in ivy. then at mid day we struck gold a drunk driver desided to take out 3 cars at are traffic lights we had all blue and toos, they closed the road off completely. so we could just crash down everything we wanted not every day you get police close road off and then u get chance to fell loads ashes straight across all the road. loved every second of it :001_cool: course the traffic guys said we will be set up from 9am till 4pm but didnt get set up till 9.45 and wanted to leave at 3pm

sweet..... did you get it all finished in one day because of the road closure??

Worthwhile if so!

we managed to get 1/3 of the ashes felled so overall was a good day really was good to jst crash through them. they only closed road for couple hours max just when they cleared up the accident etc. properly another 3 days i would think to finish all ashes you can see in pic 1 how far the row is it ends where the end of the field is. there is another dead oak covered in ivy comeing down to 5 meters aswell

Pic 2 looks like you have the platform set up in one lane and the truck and chipper in the other!

No wonder The Babylon had to close the road!:laugh1:

it does now you mention it. but thats just a lorry stoped at the traffic lights in the distance and a branch on the floor the chipper is behind the platform road wasnt closed off at that point by the police
