Hi all, I have a pair of stein x2 climbing spikes I find them really comfortable but they don't seem to get as much purchase as my old Bashlins... they always seem to slip has anyone else experienced this?

Hi I have the same where fine when new also the gag is a little bit on a more strainer angle than most gafs so I use a more of a lean to tree to avoid and a sharpen will help you just garb a gaff kit or try you local chain saw store hope I have helped

Yeh iv just bought these spurs after leaving my bashin in OZ. had to buy the long gaffs for them as they kept slipping out and at £50 for long gaffs there not cheap. It's helped a lot but I'm still not overly impressed with them. seems you have to really lean back to get them to sink in and stamp them in as well. on a plus there comfy.
