Went to the ceremony at our village war memorial, the names of the fallen from WW1 to the present time were read out, then the children laid wreaths and sung La Marseilles, flags lowered and then raised, very moving. Have now just come back from a meal with the old comrades, full of wine and cognac after feeding very well. Time for a little kip I think.
