If you find a source I'll have one for my 262 please.

Last time I enquired through the dealer it was listed as unavailable now.

My 262 has only half of that assembly and still runs fine and is used everyday.

have you tried in at thomsons the blade sharpening folk that sell husky and lawnmowers in forres, across the railway track beside the massive removal companies depo. the guy in there is really nice and helpfull, i bet he has a few carcasses under the bench

both the 254 and 262 were being produced up until last year or so (for the eastern european, south america, and asian markets)... parts should still be available from husky... check the latest ipls for superceded part numbers, and get your dealers to harass husky

i am sure i have a couple for the 254 and will check i think the 262 and 268 will be the same

if i forget to reply send me a pm to remind me

I would appreciate a spare if you have got one, Bob.

If you only have one, Gibby's got first dibs on it though. :001_smile:

Part No. is , or was if its been changed, 503 54 26-01

The lttle grommet bit that it fits into on the cover is 503 54 38-01

Thats off the 1990 parts list for 262xp.

You don't get a parts list nowadays with the instruction book, a failing by the manufacturers IMO.
