Defender, lift it or not?

Next stage on project landy is to sort the suspension...

 

Currently sat on standard (NON HD) 110 shocks and springs and its awful, tyres rub on buck while cornering!

 

Going for a complete new setup, YES I have read the many threads on this already but should i lift it? 50mm or so?

 

More ride height above the bump stops, not much else i can think of?

You will alter aspects of the suspension/steering geometry.

 

The purists will suggest you need to insert spacers in the prop shafts as they are effectively longer (bigger distance from transfer box to diff) and it would benefit from different angled radius arms.

 

If you only increase the height by an inch or two and dont want to enter competitions you will probably be OK
