I bought a Bose sound dock 10 a few years ago and it's one of the best bits of kit I've bought. It was a pricey at £500 but it's worth it and it'll last.

A quick google search and the Bose sound touch 30 seems to be its replacement

I run all Bose & also looked at docking stations but didn't require one due to other bits & pieces I've got. My mrs brought me a Bose Bluetooth speaker which is head & shoulders above everything else, I use it around the house, garden, office, in the caravan, on holiday, on overnight stays etc. You have the joy of using your own music from any device, approx £160, well worth the money for the versatility & sound quality.
