When I bought my Milemarker winch they only made hydraulic ones though things could have changed!

Must be what you said earlier. I went out for a day off-roading with him and some guys he knew (never again- the most boring sad twits i have ever spent time with- ended up having a huge row on LR4X4 forum:thumbdown:) and most of these guys fell into two camps- those with every damn thing bolted onto their trucks they could fit, or old dogs bodged up to go off road. I imagine steering pumps could well have been driving winches. The day started with the 'guide' telling everyone to re-familiarise themselves with their trucks as they probably hadnt driven them for a while...WTF?? We then proceeded to do some 'extreme off-roading'.......not much different to where work regularly takes me. I couldnt understand the mentality at all.

Rant and derail over.:blushing:

that lot on lr4x4 are all up each others arses got all the kit and no fu#king idea they all do sh#ty little events and think they are god.....

Total dorks i thought, but then TBh i have VERY little time for townies in 4x4s who go off roading at the weekend and think it makes them into tough hard men. Bullied at school i reckon.:001_tt2:

Fellas,

help an old confused 4x4 wannabe.

I sorta get the fact that the H14 PTO is the proverbial, but I sorta got that covered with the Valtra & Igland.

I guess what I'm really after is a hydraulic that will cover the bases between the Igland & my Tirfors. (and if truth beknown, banish the TU's to the back of the shed)

So, excuse the repitition & ignorance but.....would either of the Ramseys HPD10000 or HPD8000 do the job or something else?

Appreciate any feedback.

Got the 130 on order, due around back end of April, but need to get the Winch sorted as LR quoted me on my spec with Hydraulic winch, but actually don't supply anything other than electric, so got to outsource the Hydraulic & re-quote.

Any links to Ramsey suppliers, so I can get an idea of cost?

Many thanks

D
