Timber in Manchester

Hi, Hoping someone can help :D

I'm looking for freshly felled timber in Manchester for wood turning that I can season myself, I've tried a couple of local surgeons but they haven't bothered calling me back :001_rolleyes: I assume its due to not wanting loads.

I don't need huge quantities but I am looking for a regular supply and different species would be great. Obviously willing to pay :thumbup1:

Have you tried woodnet? I'm a tree surgeon in South Yorkshire and a couple of turners and part time furniture makers local to me are in my list of timber customers and I found them on there.

Or find out who does your local authority work and have a chat with them, they will probably have cherry burrs and many other things going for firewood because they don't have time to sort the timber and find buyers for small quantities.
