One of our lads has got one and he thinks its great. He struggles to get 15mpg out of it but I am sure thats down to his club foot driving style.

On a Hilux?

It's got to be worth you hanging on for the new hilux. When the mk6 came out it was a good truck but 9 years on its a bit long in the tooth. That d4d has been clattering its way around since 2002.

I see they have changed the clothe seats and wheels on hilux

Had 10s of Hiluxs over the years

Great trucks with good resale

Now, Hilux will only tow 2.8 tons and if you have a trailer rated at 3.5 even if your empty you are towing illegally

As it the capability of trailer of 3.5

So, no good if ya wanna be above board like me!!

On motorway Discovery better mpg than hilux

I dont really question him on the fuel but just put a calculator on it and its about right. He has just finished a job 60 miles away so he is doing 120 miles a day but cant do the third day without filling up again, so thats about 14.11mpg give or take a bit with whats rattling about in the tank when the light comes on.
