non oem ms200 carb?

suggestions of ones to avoid/get for a non oem (not £95) ms200 carb.

Never used non OEM on MS200s, always managed to salvage them and get them running OK!

the throttle butterfly is leaking air as it is so worn. i think the hole in the ally that the throttle butterfly goes through is worn as symptons went away when grease was applied.

 

can i fix that?

i just assumed i would need another one but maybs i can fix it?

If a squirt of WD40 to the sides of the carb changes the idle speed then it is new carb time, not much you can do to rectify that. I have had to do a 039 and 038 with exactly this fault.

Forest world and most of the other uk/Ireland stores all use the Chinese carbs so if your prepared to wait just get one direct at half the price. Normally takes a couple weeks.
