Hi guys. Have been offered 30 acres mainly scotts pine with a few Norwegian here and there. Average dbh 18 - 20 inch. Not done any before, so unsure the value and whether it would be worth it. So any pointers on a value and is anyone interested in it? Cheers.

Scots pine is used by the big mills (BSW and the like) but it's in very little demand amongst us little fish. Stains too quickly. Whereabouts are you?

It's pretty low per tonne but then it's a heavy dense wood , we were getting £27 per tonne back in February for biomass on second thinnings but where lucky to have a buyer 10 miles away.
