Lockjack on ddrt vs rope wrench/hitch on srt?

Getting into climbing and have been messing on ddrt using basic hitches but want to get smoother and have more fun.

 

I have an 11.3mm rope so a zigzag is out, toying with either a lockjack on ddrt with a foot ascender

 

Or

 

A rope wrench/hitch & pulley on srt with foot/hand ascenders

 

 

Going to be mainly for rec climbs mainly with some work use in there.

Stick with double rope man, lockjacks are mint. takes a while to get used too. pantins are good but no need if ya just starting out.. use them arms they need conditioning for climbing

Lockjack is a lot easier to get used to then the spider jack. Only had mine a day, and I was of no going back. I would get a rope guide or similar, makes climbing effortless. No friction.

Zigzag should never be out.. Change your rope

come out for a climb with me Will. Before you buy one try mine, I've got both. I reckon you'd prefer the zigzag mate. It also goes better with the petzl pantin (foot ascender)
