New Car!

Bought this car yesterday as our old estate was going to cost more than its value in required maintenance. This 2.2 TiD was ridiculously cheap and in great order but I feel really wierd in a large smooth car - give me my pickup back quick! I should feel happy yet I don't - not used to creature comforts; worried about so many electic gizmos going wrong; what's wrong with me?!

Now done a thousand miles in it and pretty happy; a few niggles to sort out such as climate control has a mind of its own and digital display comes and goes (a Saab norm apparently). Scrapes 50mpg at 75 mph on cruise control but 4 pot engine a teeny weeny bit vocal and I reckon the auto box was borrowed from the petrol model thus changes up too late imo rather than using the torque. I really fancied the 3.0 V6 TiD but some say to avoid it since it is prone to dropped liners - mega repair... Beats going to Scotland in the Pickup tho :001_smile:
