Ah, yes. The limited experience opinions. Very often unfounded and misleading.

 

In the case of the 540t though, there were many opinions shared from those with direct, and often multiple experience of that particular saw.

 

Hardly limited.

 

In short, those with plenty of experience of reviewing saws and new technology were given that saw on demo, including me. The general consensus on that saw came back as "it goes well but falls apart"

 

Not a good basis for the scenario that Kev is in sending a crew out with one in "perfect condition".

My T540XP has just had the same problem. Bit gutted that this is not more economically repairable. Ill be getting a new top handle by the looks of things unless someone sells a breaker saw on e-bay.

 

Doh! the Arb game is one fun old money pit!

I got my first t540xp after 15 years of 200ts not even used it in anger as I'm waiting for my petzl carry tool. So still using 201 came out the tree and noticed the stop button lying on the floor , not a good start.
