You can run the return direct back to the gearbox

 

There will be a square drive taper plug in the gearbox, have a look on the gearbox under the seat.

 

Take it out an replace it with a bayonet fitting and Robert is your mothers brother

Left hand side of the seat large blanking plug ,has above use a baynot fitting ,this is the return to sump has the oil will flow back over the oil pump gears below it .

Been there, done that I wouldn't bother using the pump the old 1 probably isn't that good and new pumps aren't much better. Get a pto driven 1 then your not relying on the tractor hydraulics
