Just reduced 1 maple,3 whitebeams and 4 gean's today with said equipment.No noise,no petrol needed.Just for the blower to tidy up.Best way to reduce small trees IMO:001_cool:

I work with a climber who shall not be named qtip who even gets out the felcos on Leylandii reductions, i think thats taking it to far. Other than that I tend to use a sharp Silky on 90% of my reduction work and will use the felcos if needed.

 

Recently i got the odd compliment that i was pretty quick and smooth with the silky, he then added but if i only used the 200t i'd be even faster, :001_unsure:

This beech was reduce using a Silky and secatuers, in fact there is a pair in the water feature beneath it. Even large trees can do with delicate work. You can't see in this pic but the side over the bike rack was hit harder using a 200t and silky.

been doing reductions the last couple of days with a silky and felcos, just interested to see who else uses secateurs in their reductions

 

I did 4 Turkish Hazels years ago entirely with secateurs, felcos and loppers. Got a pic somewhere, I’ll try and dig it out.
