Does anybody know if the splitting axe can be completely removed from the splitting chamber on either the 42x or 50x, leaving it clear to produce rings ???

Thanks in advance

You can remove the splitting wedge on the 42 but your still left with the backing plate so no good for disks. I'm sure the 50 will be the same but not used one

Thanks for your reply

Is the backing plate the same height as the wedge or is it lower

Could a ramp be made like on 37x

You could easily make a ramp.

The back plate is the same height as the splitting wedge when its fully lowered.

The chamber is quite big as well, so you can cut three or four, then hand ball them out.

Hello

I had to make the plate in the pictures below to get over the back plate on my x37. I tryed the same idea on my x42 but the back plate is to high.
