I'm running the same setup on my 550xpg. As long as you don't force the saw into the cut the 8 pin makes a decent difference in cut speed. The sprockets are less than a tenner so worth a punt.

Edit: looks like once you've got it down to the union you might be able to fell it? Sod chogging that down on a 20"

Is there much difference between the 395 and 390. I been looking on fleabay for a 390 and they rarer than rocking horse

I did 11 x 60ft scots pines into 18" logs in a day the other week it was 32degrees. I think the saw got a tad hot. Also I Lent it out.Hasn't been the same since.

Waiting for new clutch parts.

That's the plan. Justo took the crown out yesterday and left me the stem.

A few snatches and fell the stick.
