Got back from the dealership this morning. All sorted! The mechanic gave me a fews tips, and all seems to be well for the moment. Thanks again for the help :)

How much have we got to pay to hear the " few tips " ?

Starting issues with those saws usually turn out to be operator errors - mainly from people not looking in the manual, but doing it as they are used to....:sneaky2:

I started mine exactly as suggested in the manual yet had starting issues.

I found the saw started much better after sinking it on continual full throttle into a big lump of hornbeam.

Cold or hot start, I never use the decompression valve.

Now running on Aspen.

cheers, steve
