Makita DCS 7900/1 rear handle

My barely used 7901 rear handle fell apart yesterday with the throttle trigger dissapearing, the lockout flying out, various springs and linkages pinging out and the plastic handle itself breaking close to the on/off switch. Seems crapily construction imo - as I say almost new saw, was ringing firewood and I have hands that do dishes! Warranty claim? Anyone else had this? Cheers.

warranty claim!

the 7900 has been around for a while and ive heard about no problems regarding the quality of the handle plastics. (have a look on the arboristsite chainsaw forum, there are hundreds of 7900 owners on there (and several big dolmar dealers) and no reported issues with the handle)...

ive certainly leant on mine and it seems as robust as any other saw
