Hi folks my saws playing up. Can't adjust the carb and am thinking of servicing the carb. It's a husqvarna 455 rancher and I'm just wondering where to get a service kit from.

2nd question is how difficult a job is it to do myself? I am quite practical but never really worked on a carb before.

Not too difficult just make sure the gaskets are put in the same way as they came out.

Servicing the carb is not the be all and end all, you need to replace the filter in the tank, check fuel hose for leakage, replace plug, it maybe there is nothing wrong with the carb.
