I wholeheartedly agree that Steve needs to make a living out of Arbtalk, because I'll be honest - I wouldn't be where I was if not for Arbtalk. We all make some percentage of our living from this forum. It is excellent.

We talked a while back about premium membership, for those who both enjoy using arbtalk as a social entity but also for work. Larger PM inbox, free use of a an improved arbtrader, that sort of thing. £100 a year would be a bargain and something I'd happily pay.

actually arbtrader is nothing to do with making profit. its about keeping classified adverts away from forum discussions. All you get when you post an ad for sale on arbtalk is a load of opinions on what you're selling, and the price you're selling it at from people have absolutely no real interest in buying it whatsoever. Arbtrader attracts a more serious buyer IMO.

Much like the employment forum. People advertising don't generally want to read through 5 pages of tat, it puts people off advertising again.

I won't clutter up the advert thread posting there.

This mill came up about a week after I ordered a woodmizer. Gutted! All the best selling it.

On another note I had no Idea this forum was run by one guy. All I can say is thanks to you. I've been a member a few months, and have bought logs and sold sawn timber, as well as getting mobile work through it. I have also learned a thing or two. Good work Steve Bullman.
