Hope you had a good look at those bearing cages before rebuilding, they are very prone to dropping a small section of the cage, if you rebuilt the engine with the old bearings and carriers they will name have shaped themselves to the cylinder and crankcase due to force exerted on them when tightening the cylinder down, it can be tricky to regain a seal now if the bearing does not go back exactly the same as it came out. Good luck, but would have changed them.

I have one of the saws all back together but it will not start i have got a good spark and compression is about 150psi after 5 pulls of the pull cord but there is a very strong smell of petrol after the 5 pulls i also have the choke out at the same time but still a non starter ? Confused
