I came clean with Steve about it and apologised, promised to behave a bit better.

Still guessing at the gorilla thing... I have an idea though!

Ohh I love a good plot twist! Personally I'm glad your back, but then I imagine you might make me regret that on occasion

No, that's all:001_smile:

Getting back to the thread, I left a 10 weeker at merrist wood and worked for a year for a couple of firms, after a false start and a sacking for a few incidents! I joined a small firm as a groundy/second climber. I can honestly say that after a year I was competent to take on all but the biggest jobs. Not a Jedi by any means (still not probably) but good enough to make a living.

I think that because I was already 30, I was very focused and hungry for learning and experience (no time to waste!) maybe more so than a teenager.

Just my experience mind.

If you can spare one a day a week or an evening (depends where you are in the country), you could do the ABC level 2 certificate in arboriculture for the theory (pests and diseases, fungi, law, inspections, science, etc.) and do your tickets separately. If you do this and get enough tickets, you can also then apply for the RFS cert arb certificate.
