yeah it is, but its the gate that was there before it was pressure washed and came out a treat

Double sided, 8ft high and its on 5" x5" posts this time concreted in.

hi guys.could you answer me this?i put a fence up between my neighbour and i.i put the posts on his side but he says,they should be on mine.is there a law about this or is it just up to personal preference?

I have always been told the fence owner sees the poor (i.e posts) side of the fence. Not sure it is a law as such

In Scotland its not law ( well not according to the LA, had a situation with a client last year ) but more a common decency for your neighbour, but no one does it.

There is no law that says which way round a fence should be. Increasingly, I find that my customers elect to have the 'good' side facing them. With a closeboard fence, this allows all completion to be undertaken from the customers own garden.

it use to be law that you put the good face out thats where the saying driving the nails home come from as you was knocking them in towards your property but am sure its no longer law now
