Phew, just finished reading this thread, took a few sittings.

Really impressed though, am liking the small chipper system:thumbup1:

I was thinking about getting a truck and towable chipper sometime in the future. Have a van at the moment, so could just get a trailer and a small chipper and keep the van:idea:

As a start-up option, these machines take some beating, portable & powerful (for their size). As Stevie says, learn the art of tiny chipping, these arent roller-fed, but drum chippers, but the savings on drag-outs, manouverability and so on make it a viable option. Contact PeteB on here for the greenmech lke Stevies or Jonesie for the Jo-Beau like mine, both are

good machines.

i have dont have a towable chipper just have my jo-beau m400 and my tipper it suits me as most the work i do is in back gardens. if i need to load my tuck up with woodchip and the brush is close to my truck i fire it into the back off my truck if not i use my muck truck to take the woodchip out off gardens and dump it into the back off my truck. makes my life easy and the best bit about it is to set my self up with the chipper and mucktruck it didnt cost me no more that a good 2nd hand towable chipper

Yeah I like the look of the m400, think this would be my preferred choice. And a small chipper would suit my needs more than a towable one to be honest. Not ina position at the moment to buy one but hopefully next year at some point. I think a crew cab tipper would be good too, for the time when chip is needed to be taken away and logs. But a good small chipper is more important because I do have the van for the time being.
