Jees, that's not what i meant. Surrey and Hampshire is densely populated and the houses have very small back gardens in the main and / or hard landscaping so it would be difficult to get rid of the chip on site for those reasons.

 

I'm quite capable of selling a new idea and drumming up new business and it's great it works for your guys but i wouldn't have been able to solely rely on a small chipper like that.

 

However as i said i would definitely have bought one to add to the kit i had as it is a fantastic idea.

 

I can see this really taking off over the next few years, i would probably bag the chip and sell it as mulch at a latter date.

Ah but you see Buzz, neither Stevie nor myself rely solely on the little chippers, but its really interesting to try different methods to achieve the end result.... getting paid. I've seen and worked for many people tearing their hearts out trying to afford big machines over the years, and maade it a conscious decision not to go down that route, and with the economy as it is I'm so glad I'm not up to the hilt on finance.

Yeah I'm only teasing, if i still had my own contracting business i'd definatly have one. Fills a niche and makes you more competitive.

 

I have to say though i think your lucky how much chip you can leave on site, I wouldn't have got away with that much in Hampshire !

Totally agree with all that! Thats why I stick to the cheapo LDV chip truck. My chipper was new but I have no other finance. Getting myself a quad in the next few week too, its the one I've used and borrowed many times but they are finally lettign it go for a days tree work. Quad project comign up soon!!
