Little too far to drag the family mate for me unfortunately, I would have liked to come up and meet all the carvers and see what masterpieces are formed.

All great carvings there. They look great for the short carving time four hrs is a speed carve to me lol.

Looking forward to see the speed carve pics if there is some.

Great photos Ian, it was over all too soon. Just enough time to finish, not enough time to chat!

I know you won't want to think about that journey for a while but I'm working on a two or even three day affair next year 👍

Phil, don't know if anyone took pictures of the speed carves, everything was a blur by then lol.

Hi all, we here at SE Forestry supplied the timber for this event and myself and one employee went along to have a look at what was happening, now carving is not up my street really but what i so blew my mind we where there for about 3 1/2 hrs and to see the sculptures taking shape was spectaculare i for one will definatley be going again as i think for a first event i thought it was excellent and i will give Simon all the support i can to help him make this a succesfull yearly event, well done to all involved and to the guys that took place in the event cant wait till the next one, Regards Gary.

Thanks a lot Gary, that's great to hear your impression of the day. I hope that impact was felt by most of those that came out to support us. The wood was lovely to carve and that made our experience much more enjoyable.

Looks like you guys had fun & some great carvings too! Would be good if the event was over a few days next year
