The hole needs to be 200x110x25. I've always fancied a makita chain morticer, but dont really have the work to justify the expense. Besides, i fancy some new chisels.

 

 

What are those sizes relating to?

I would use one of these and a forsner bit on extension bar or a decent long series drill bit. Use to have a similar one to do fire doors with until it got pinched, never replaced it tho. Might do one day.

that's a cheap excuse to get some nice chisels. good though:laugh1:

 

when i used to do doors with those door closers we just used to used either an auger bit or a spade set to get the length on the end of a power drill. no chisel needed.

Try giving Ray Iles a shout at The Old Tool Store. He makes amazing stuff, but also has a large selection of second hand gear. Some stuff ain't made like they used to!
