What foot ascender's are people rating?

 

I'm fairly new to SRT and I've been using a Pantin for the last 4 months and the spring has imploded, is this just another example of poor Petzl build quality?

Get a climbing technology 1 there cheaper and lock onto the rope so you don t keep kicking out.

CMI are good, much heavier duty than the pantin

Just ordered one, I liked the look of the CAMP Turbo too but maybe that seemed a little too expensive/over complicated?

CT one here, really liking it.

Contact Lyon/ the retailer you bought it from if your springs broken, they'll replace it within 48 hours. i know climbers on their pantin 7 hours a day every day on srt with no problems at all, you must have been unlucky, some people dont like the fact that the petzl didnt have a clip/hole to stop it popping off but its never bothered me

I tried out the CMI foot ascender today. Really impressed with it. Used it with HAAS on a 60 ish ft ascent. Hate the kick out on Pantin when in the zone so looking to change. The bloke i borrowed it from didnt know where his boss had bought it from. Anyone know where i can get a CMI in the UK?
