Doing 30/31 next week

Finally got the cash sorted to do my 30/31 and it's only next week 😜👌

 

I can't wait, but does anybody have any advice on things to take or do?

 

Got the following already so hope I'm all set.

Boots

Trouser

Gloves and helmet

Saw and fuel

Felling bar, tongs and tape

 

 

I think I got it all now to listen and learn then get to felling trees with a saw rather than axe.

I blasted through all the theory before I did my CS30/31, it really, really helped. Get all that stuff out of the way so you can focus on learning practical tasks and most of all, enjoy yourself

Would it be handy to add a saw to your kit-list?

I did my CS30/31 not long ago. Officially I think you may need official PPE gloves with chainsaw protection (upper left hand) but if you don't have any maybe ask them in advance if it's okay to wear more comfortable chainsaw gloves, ie just for vibration purposes.

Don't forget your maintenance tools - Round files , flat files , depth guage ,groove cleaner , grease gun , piston stop etc.
