Log splitter advice

I've got a compact tractor and log splitter, I just don't fancy that stuff, I hate even splitting my own firewood, maybe my original plan of getting a farmer to push it all up into a big pile and put a match to it will happen.

That's a bit of a waste, surely someone would pay something for it ?

Access is an issue, I agree it is a waste but thing is when you can go out and earn pretty good money chopping them down, time spent behind a splitter could be better spent out there pulling in the cash. I'm sure many of us have a similar problem.

Aspen Arb had it right, stick it outside with a "for free sign"

I use to do the same with all the crap softwood we had from tree surgery works then started giving it to the boys in the pub. Now I put it all in potato boxes and sell them at £40

Don't really want anyone round my yard/field when I'm not there. Poplar/willow etc won't really fly well round here.

Why would you have people there when your not.

How much are you talking about.

Your best bet would me to cut it in to manageable pieces store and sell to some one with a biomass boiler.
