What makes you think that though? Unless they are incredibly tired they should still tow 3500kg

I'd quite happily put 3500 behind my h reg 200tdi which has a tired engine. It will maintain 55mph on the flat. Gets slow on hills but it isn't about how fast you get there. When I had a 300 disco I'd happily tow 3500 with that also and was better again. Remember that the youngest 300s are nearly 20years old now.

It'll be listed on the VIN alloy plate on your clutch master cylinder .....my ex army standard 110 is listed as 6550kgs. Therefore that's what I'd have to prove,if stopped,as legal....any guff from the 'net is invalid.

Hello, I have a 110 300Tdi tipper, they can be 3.5 tonnes overall vehicle weight and tow 3.5 tonnes, my dad has the 130 I originally brought as when I tried to insure it insurance firms told me vehicle can be 3.5 tonne fully loaded and tow 4 tonne so I cud not get insured for less than £3000! It's G reg 200tdi, but on the 110 I had to swap to its £1100
