300tdi 90/110 still pull 3500kgs there old now does yours still pull that

Yep ,she has a few war wounds too .

 

Has it has big silly wing mirrors on I have a CB Ariel attached to it (yes a CB) and last job going through a Hawthorne gate way I got bitch slapped off the hedge then the Ariel had a go at me too ,needless to say that is broke now .

 

 

So yes I have a cry on a regular basis .

200 tdi will be of an age that used electrical bullet connections maintainance includes cleaning and putting silicone grease in. Chassis maintainance includes cleaning off mud from the top of the front outriggers and wax oil or rust proofing other areas.

 

Basic stuff on any motor really. Landrover always get slagged; they are a tractor, a work horse and if looked after will last 30 plus years. They were never built for or intended for comfort and just like any other piece of mechanical engineering, if you run them with no maintainance eventually they'll bust

HI IAN on your tipper if you had a 1ton on tipper then 2 ton trailer would yours do that ok thanks jon :thumbup:

 

 

Not to sure mate, I have had a ton in back and pulls chipper at same time and is fine. Think 2 ton trailer as well might be a bit too much?

I have had 4 tons of additional weight on my landrover today- in my experience its not necessarily how much weight you are towing but how hard you push it. I don't force anything with mine for example with long uphill drags I just select a nice comfortable low gear where I don't have to have my foot to the floor to keep it going and just chog my way up- yes it might only do 20mph up a hill with 3 tons on but my tractor wouldn't do it any faster either. I agree, maintenance is key and just being in tune with your motor.
