Im in the market for a long handled pole saw. 5 or 6m would be good and maybe the option for a lopper attachment.

Mainly need it for cutting back ride, pathways and small trees.

The best I have found is either a Silky or Jameson. What do people reckon I should get?

Im open to other suggestions, as I really can't make my mind up!

Pice isn't really an issue.

Thanks :-)

Sharpness of saw I personally think silky take some beating.

I don't use the telescopic silky, I bought the aluminum rods, screwed together, when lopper head, sandvik saw, and steel Hook. Very adaptable, and the hook is invaluable. Pulls phones lines away from drop zone, branches from crown. Can't remember name 4x aluminium screwed together rods

AUS poles are great, silky saw and loppers and you can just buy more poles to add on. Made of fibre glass and are insulated. I would not be without mine now. Check out the AUS website.

The AUS ones are the best you can get a silky head looper head a hook and device that can pass ropes over branches with ease. The funny thing is they were never really designed for tree work

AUS are good but at £50per pole +whatever for attachments it soon adds up.

I've just got onto WOLF Garten they have a telescopic pole 2.2m-4m for £49.99 then £39.99 for the saw head you can clear upto 6ish meters. ImageUploadedByArbtalk1426359690.584362.jpg.c9d02c291afcfbc0fc6953bbbce5ae7b.jpg

I have the Wolfe pole with loppers and saw. They do a pole that extends to 5m too. They've lasted me well for gardening clients. I don't use them as much as those of you that are full time tree workers though so don't know how they would stand up to heavy use.
