petzl zillon replacement rope?

hi all

Im wanting a longer lanyard for the zillion. i know you can get longer lengths, but do i have to cut the lanyard stitched eye to get it though the zillion.

Yes you do, cut the stitches on the tail end and slide it off, I've replaced my 1 with 5m of teckion which is actually much nicer and smoother than the original rope. Now also have a 2.5m length and swap about depending on the job.

Was told that if it rope hasnt been change /replaced by the same sort its not CE approved anymore. Same with the grillon etc.
