Thanks chaps, it's mind boggling the amount of different bikes there is, I might spend a little more.

I've been looking through ebay for the last 2 hours and I'm even more confused.

I narrowed it down with some of the suggestion to Specailised and trek but a lot are going for serious money.

I measured up and need 20" frame, 26" wheels and want full suspension, I'm 6'1"

Noooooooo! :scared1: Big mistake Dean! Don’t go for a full susser at that price point!

Extra weight, extra cost and no benefit whatsoever. Don’t do it!!

If you want a bike for fitness , dont go for a full sus anyway, esp at that price, as you will find that there is a large loss of effort when pedalling, alot of your effort will be lost in the Full sus bikes are for two things- hardcore downhill riding, or posing round the estate IMO. A good hard tail will give you far more fitness, longevity and enjoyment from the flexibility of use it offers. To get a decent full sus which you really can lock out the rear springs you really need to spend a boat load of money on a well maintained bike.
