Selling Firewood

50/50 mixed loads & softwood loads, (which makes up 60% sales), hardly any of our customers want pure hardwood for stoves as they have been put off by being sold unseasoned hardwood logs that won't burn, I do sell a few to open fire customers. We sell 12 months of year, only dry, seasoned loads. Most logs cut8-10 inches, but a few cut 15" for bigger stoves/cookers.

Use to be A only, but...best thing I have ever done is introduce 50/50 mixed loads. Brilliant dry pine and ash loads have been a brilliant seller this winter, marketed as stove mix. I also offer premium hardwood load (90% ash) and budget load (main arb arisings softwood with a bit of pop). Need to be flexible.
