NPTC Final draft Assessment Schedules now available

Problem seems to be, the trainers want a minimum of 4 students on the course to make it viable. They then need a couple of trees each to carry out training, then at least one more each to do the assessment.

Suddenly you need a minimum of 12 trees to carry out the the ticket, within a set area for such training center.

Not many centers can offer such high numbers of "difficult" trees.

i have put lads from work for the assessments when we thought they were ready and basically felled trees on our jobs

although sometimes finding a suitable job is not as easy as it sounds

but always managed

not sure rumours were for highway guys and railway guys ect so they could clear fallen trees and branches without having to do shed loads of courses for things they would not need

but i may be wrong

hello guys n gals hope you all well

bob is pretty much on the money with what he has said, it has not been let out fully yet as it is being passed arround interested parties hse verifiers the SSC and NHTA etal to make sure it does the best for what it is intended, needless to say if you have 34 and 35 it wwould be largly unnessary

as for 33 there are very few of us that do the award, the PROPOSED change will see little difefrance for those that haev it as most peole have done 33 on big old minging trees already,

we do about one 33 (current form) a year and the problem is not usually numbers of peole but as said numbers of trees you do need about 12 to 20 trees whitch is a lot, the last one we ran was in thetford forest on some big horrible old poplars that was an education for all of them and in truth me too (there were some real real bad boys!!!!)

33 will be ineresting in the new form and 50 rather good allrounder ,

lets see

cheers
