Dunno about living the dream but certainly, being able to go out and shoot stuff like this after a hard day's tree work floats my boat. Fantastic way to unwind.

WOW! ... will you be printing those out and hanging them on the wall?

I have one of my better ones on the wall. We're quite lucky here with the dark skies and minimal light pollution. We also have some well protected lakes which are dead calm so sometimes you can get some decent reflections of the stars.

After a hard day sometimes it's just nice to cruise out and sit by myself for a couple of hours, watch the sun go down and the stars come out. If the sky is clear enough you can see the stars flashing different colours. Reds, greens, blues. Living the dream? Not sure this was my dream when I was a kid (I thought Canada) but this surpasses anything I think I dreamt about.

Up at 5 this morning and walked to the top of a hill nearby to watch the sunrise over the crags and limestone pavements. A bit chilly but definitely worth it!!

300 years of industrialisation have left the northern hemisphere with a permanent high altitude smog so you will never see stars like you do in the southern hemisphere. I remember being amazed the first time I saw the skies in NZ.

Work is non existant and the bills are piling up so with a dour mood i head out to sea to shoot some nets, fishing doesnt make much (if any!) money but sights like this lift my mood and give me peace. ImageUploadedByArbtalk1423915528.168520.jpg.2db944cf40c47f68e5fcd80d2afcb5a7.jpg
