Kev is no longer employed by Orange Plant. Jason views the forum on a regular basis and I take a more active approach. Other people within the two organisations keep a watching eye on to the toings and froings of ArbTalk too.

I'm sorry that the OP had an initially awkward response and glad that it has been resolved happily.

We all have to have some lines in the sand with warranty - and as previously said, quite often the components suppliers warranty can lead us and our partners into a loss making situation as they themselves say "Worn out through poor maintenance!" or plainly tell us it isn't covered....

There is a lot of talk on 2 year, 3 year, unlimited mileage etc warranty as a hook to sales at the mo, but, If I said "12 months and that's it officially, but if you have a problem after that then lets sit down and talk...." how would you feel? Re-assured or no....No cobblers about what is covered and what isn't, labour or parts only, lines in the sand etc, pay up front and claim retrospectively, local dealer issues etc - just plain old "Come, lets talk about a way forward with no bullshine."

After all, most breakdowns are with the first few months and if there is a genuine fault through manufacture later on - a reputable source should man up to it.....not refer to a warranty agreement which says you must do this, buy spares from them etc....
