Ok, how long are do u think

Don't know, thats why I'm thinking of getting a scale, I'm guessing different woods will loss timber at different rate and different areas of the kiln will be more efficient at shifting the water.

I'm hoping to build up a good idea of whats going on, without the need to get logs from the centre of each cage, cool them, split then and use moisture metre.

Still experimenting with my kiln, getting good results, I was wondering about something like this to monitor the drying progress

PALLET TRUCK WEIGHT SCALE HAND MANUAL DOOSAN DELIVERED | eBay

I stack the IBC's two high in the kiln, I could weigh the each stack, calk the weight on the stack, then check the weight after a few days.

Any one done this or any one see any reason it would not work???

Did you get a pallet truck with scales?

Be interested if they were any good :001_smile:

No did not buy one.

I only use about half my container, drying 12cube each time. The water coming out of the logs condenses on the celling of the unused end of the container, I know the logs are try when the water stops condensing and I get dry celling between the partition and the water droplets.

My little forklift struggles to lift two cages of wet logs, it easily lifts the dry ones, so there is a significant weight loss.
