Stihl 241 vs Husqy 550

I have a 261 13" on Arbtrader at the moment.......

Cheers Tom, I did see it, and considered that, but I have heard a few too many things about the 261, and think I would prefer the Husqy.

Yours doesn't count! It's ported!

Once the warranty is out and if it's doable the 550xpg will be too.

That's what I've decided on.

Nope, we all know ported saws can pull bigger bars!
Please avoid the expression "can pull", as it isn't properly defined, and if it was, would depend on several more factors than just the powerhead and the bar length.

As it is, it is a meaningless expression, and opinions will vary wildly.

No bottle needed, it is what it is - and what any saw "will pull" depends on a lot of factors.....

I just met a member of the Junior Norwegian Stihl team, and he agreed that the MS460 is a wibe monster - but he still had to use it in competition. He showed a lot of interest in my 560xpg.......

Ok mr pedantic! A ported saw can run a longer cutting attachment similar to a stock saw running a much shorter cutting attachment, it will maintain a higher rpm under load
