done a few quick searches but before I call my local council, does anyone know if I need or even if it would just be better to have a waste transport licence of some description. Of coarse this only relates to logs brash and chip from site to yard etc but I can't seem to find a straight answer.

Thanks in advance. :)

Apply for lower tier license in the link below.

https://www.gov.uk/waste-carrier-or-broker-registration.

If you only carry 'your own' waste, and it is logs, brash and chip, it is all you need (and it costs £0.00, which is not a bad price).

Carry a bit of rubbish (like a fence panel you just broke) and it will not be adequate though!

PS: DON'T ring the council!
