What is the best to go for?

We have had a Stihl one for years you have to replace the spinning heads once in a while but otherwise it's okay.

Iv been thinking about it because a 15" oregon chain is £15 easy.. am I right in thinking you will get 80 15" chains out of a 100 ft roll of chain? Iv seen it priced up at £319.

 

80 chains from the roll works out at £3.99 each.

 

Where as if I buy 1 at a time 80 chains would be around £1200

15" top of bar,15" under the bar and 12"around the bar mount and sprocket = 42"

 

so 28 full chains from a 100 foot roll or £11.39 a chain.

Maybe around 38-40 chains I recon...

Still a lot cheaper and you do have to make a mad run to the saw shop if you destroy your chain.
