Ebay is good, but yes 10% is too dear. Get people to come and have a look then strike a deal privately & end the item listing once cash is in your hand - naughty but saves a few £££.

Gumtree works and has it's place but lots of messers and timewasters, Loot, Friday Ad, Preloved etc all have their uses but beware of scammers - buyers and sellers on all these. Craigslist seems to have more scammers on it than most - as always, if it seems too good to be true - it is!

Facebook sales can also be very effective, free, constantly moderated to weed out dodgy ads (though all moderators are volunteers in their own time so caution still needed). Just depends on what you're selling and what audience you're trying to reach :-)

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
